Overview:
This course is ideal for learners preparing to enter employment or those who are already in employment of care role and wish to develop specialist knowledge in relation to medication handling and administration. With the Level 2 certification in Principles of Medication Handling and Management Administration, you can enhance your medical knowledge through an improved understanding of the terminologies, abbreviations of medicines and their significance in body systems and medical specialities.
This course contains three units of assessment all of which are within the “Regulated Qualification Framework” (RQF). For each units completed successfully, credits are archived. See below for the qualification title, qualification number and credit value.

How will you be assessed?
This course is assessed using the portfolio, where the set questions are designed to test your knowledge of the course materials. You will have access to the learning materials and submit your work online via the learning management system. Your assigned assessor/tutor will direct, guide and mark and check your work throughout the programme. Also, you will need to take part in the workplace observations to complete this course.
