Overview:

This insightful course can be taken by individuals who wish to develop specialist knowledge in relation to autistic spectrum conditions. This course will support learners in the workplace, especially in care role to learn how to support individuals with autistic spectrum conditions. This course contains three units of assessment all of which are within the “Regulated Qualification Framework” (RQF). For each units completed successfully, credits are archived.

Course Description:

It will encompass knowledge in relation to autistic spectrum conditions, behaviour management strategies and the principles of communication with individuals with autistic spectrum conditions. How will you be assessed?

This course is assessed using the portfolio, where the set questions are designed to test your knowledge of the course materials. You will have access to the learning materials and submit your work online via the learning management system. Your assigned assessor/tutor will direct, guide and mark and check your work throughout the programme. Also, you will need to take part in the workplace observations to complete this course. 

Requirements:

• Learners must be aged 16 and above.
• Learners should have a minimum of level1 in literacy and/or numeracy or equivalent.
