Overview:

This course will support learners who work in health and social care sector or are interested to understand how to approach end of life situations sensitively, respectfully and with a focus on quality. Enrolling for this course, Level 2 award in Awareness of End-of-Life Care will enable you to assist with everyday care of those in need of helping hands, which providing them with the support the deserve. This course contains the assessment all of which are within the “Regulated Qualification Framework” (RQF). For each units completed successfully, credits are archived.

Course Description:

This course will broaden learners’ knowledge to advance their understanding of awareness of end-of-life care. With this course, you will learn about the factors that can affect a person’s view on death and dying and will be able to recognise the potential barriers an individual may face when accessing end of life care. How will you be assessed?

This course is assessed using the portfolio, where the set questions are designed to test your knowledge of the course materials. You will have access to the learning materials and submit your work online via the learning management system. Your assigned assessor/tutor will direct, guide and mark and check your work throughout the programme. Also, you will need to take part in the workplace observations to complete this course. 

Requirements:

  • Learners must be aged 16 years and above.
  • Learners should have a minimum of level1 in literacy and/or numeracy or equivalent.
